Celica - Hippest Hostel in the World

All backpackers must visit youth hostel Celica. Celica (Cell in English) has been transformed from a old prison building. They renovated old cells into interested rooms. Celica was proclaimed for the best hostel by Lonely Planet and in 2006 received award for the‘Hippest Hostel in the World’. It has 20 very artistically restorated ex prison cells with bars on the door and window. You feel inside like in fancy prison. (Dont worry - they will give you key for a room on the reception:))Each cell is unique and had been designed by plenty of artists. Because its extraordinary rooms, Celica is also on the list of most unusual places on Blue List of Lonely planet.
Hostel is located in Metelkova mesto, near Ljubljana main railway station and 5 minutes of walking away from the old town. Metelkova mesto (mesto means city) is place where many concerts and parties are happening. So after party you can easily walk to prison.

Visit Slovenia 7- Cerkniško jezero (lake)
Cerknisko jezero is an intermittent lake and covers 26 km2 when is full - even up to 38 km2!. It is 10 km long and 5 km wide. That makes it the largest lake in Slovenia. ( www.burger.si ).
Cekniško lake is not interesting only because of its nature beauty, but also because of
Carst characteristics. This lake has got a sinkhole and sometimes water goes bellow the surface, then you can see interesting lake ground.

VISIT SLOVENIA 2 - Slovenian coast
In previous post I presented to you two Slovenian caves. Because from Postonjska cave is only one hour and from Škocjan cave is only half hour to the Adriatic sea, I will today tell you something about short Slovenian coast. Slovenian coast is shorter than 50 kilometers. There are 4 larger cities on the coast: Koper, Izola, Piran, Portorož. Koper is the largest, its about 30.000 inhabitants in Koper. Koper is economical center of this region and also university city. University of Primorska has around 7000 students, but number of students grows fast.
Pretorian palace on the main square in Koper
If you are visiting Slovenian coast during summer you can enjoy in numerous cultural events and party events. I would recommend you to go in Izola on cinema festival named Kino otok. If you are interested in movies, you will find more information about
program on this link: film festival in Izola.
Old town Koper
Piran is picturesque small old city. It is nice for easy walking through the city and drinking beer in the pubs, and few kilometers away is Portorož - the most popular touristic point at our sea. Portorož is very popular amongst young people and also older population, but Izola and Koper are much more interesting places for me.
Piran
I wanted to write longer post about our coast, but because I am very tired today and because our coast is just 46 kilometers long also my post today will be very short :)
maybe I will upgrade this post in next days.

VISIT SLOVENIA 1 - CAVES : POSTONJSKA JAMA and ŠKOCJANSKE JAME

Postojnska Jama is the largest and the most widely known of around 7000 caves in Slovenia. Since opening in 1819 Postonjska jama attracted more than 30 million visitors from all over the world. Cave is compounded from a network of more than 20 kilometers of tunnels, caverns and chambers. Postojnska caves are very beautiful but for many people to touristy. There is to much crowded with tourists and inside also drives electric train. If you visit Postojnska jama then you should also see castle Predjamski grad. (Castle not far away from cave. Here is link for all information about Postonjska jama : Postonjska jama

ŠKOCJAN CAVES
Škocjan caves are located on a half way from city Postojna to the adriatic sea and city Koper . River Reka flows through the cave. If you don't have time to go to both caves I would rather choose Škocjan caves then Potojnska caves, because it is not so commercial and it is not so many visitors and you can enjoy the beauty of the cave in peace. you will get information about Škocjanske jame if you click on this link: beautiful cave

POLAND - TORUN TRIP

WITAM PANSTWO!
Today I have time and I decided to write a post about about after new year trip to Poland. I love beautiful city Torun, which is located in the heart of Poland, about 150 kilometers west from Warsaw. During the study time I have been living half of the year in this marvelous gothic town.
We were planning to visit Torun for a new year, but because of illness we transfer trip to 1.1.2007.
How small is the world today. Me and my friend from secondary school Robi went to train at 14 o clock in the afternoon and after a few bottles of wine liker and just 20 hours of driving we were 1300 km away in Poland.
Torun is famous by many things. It is the most beautiful city I know. I am sure that in Torun no tourist will be disappointed. There is plenty of interest building, museums and historical things and a lot of hotels in the old town and a lot of clubs, pubs and party places. Thats why in Torun will enjoy older tourists as well young people who are more interested in night life.
At the begining Robert shows the most interest in second tourist characteristic of city and we decided to try all those Tyskies, Zwyiec, Lech, Kasztelan, Warka, Zubr, Okocim and similar trade marks which I know wery well from my previous visits of Torun. I recommend clubs where serve the best tyskie:) : Pod Aniolem, JazzGood, Odnova (near university campus)
Moskwa, Kredens, Szwejk, Stara babcia, Kuranty. If you want to go to a good meal go to Gesia Szjya, delicious pancakes are served in a restaurant on the old square near Poczta. Best pizza is in Monte negro - take bus 27, alight from bus at station Bartkiewy czowny, you will see yellow shop called Biedronka and ask someone for direction in very near.
Torun is also famous for cookies made out of honey. If you are in Torun you have to buy it, they are known as pierniki.
This was my short first post. Previous one was not post but just a commercial for Agloco. I hope I will write 2 post per month in English. It will be quite task for me, because I am not native speaker. I apologize for my mistakes. I would like to check what I have written, but I dont have time to do this. If I made some big mistakes or if you dont understand some parts of article, please feel free to tell me about.
